Free Winter Checks for empty properties

Empty properties are a nuisance, mainly because they are not earning, and are a target for antisocial behaviour. The damp and cold weather also mean that they are more likely to fall into disrepair, costing you money, rather than doing the job of earning it!
Gerry Mason-Rolls from Stockton Heath based James Peacock Property explains;
“When a property is lived in over the winter it benefits from regular heating, keeping the pipework running and the home aired and healthy. If we ever have an empty property we visit twice a week to check that there are not any leaks, the building is secure and the boiler is working. It means as soon as a tenant is found they can move in immediately”.
